Quality Assurance Lead
Summary
The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for the overall execution per approved processes and standards for quality review, inspection, upholding document control and retain retention of packaging components, bulk, sanitized line equipment and finished goods testing (i.e. weights, torque measurements and visual). Work as an effective team leader of the Quality Assurance team as well as with all departments including but not limited to, quality control personnel, production line leaders, and equipment set-up mechanics to solve issues to support the control of the Quality Management System.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead inspection processes of packaging components, finished goods, and/or other items as required.
- Product and maintain complete and accurate records of inspections.
- Exercise and monitor GMP compliance in the work environment.
- Audit/verify production checks & balances at start-up, in-process and at the end of each production run.
- Review and release quality inspection records.
- Interpret Fill and Assembly Instructions (F&A).
- Escalate issues to appropriate teams and management where applicable.
- Lead teams through RedZone Quality Checks & Review processes.
- Perform non-routine experimentation/problem solving with minimal supervision.
- Oversee AQL release of finished goods.
- Training of Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance to approved processes.
- Understand and exercise all company safety requirements and procedures.
- Identify areas for improvement (QA, Production, Warehouse, etc.)
- Responsible for the maintenance of the retain sample storage and packaging standards.
- Communicate non-conformances to support quality needs.
- Support non-conformance investigations and CAPAs, as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency
- Maintain a positive and productive relationship with co-workers and others with whom the position may have contact.
Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiar with calculator, rulers/other measuring devices, scales, digital/spring torque meters preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Regulatory Guidance Documents as they relate to quality release of personal care and OTC products is required.
- Strong ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment while coaching, developing, and motivating others.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills including the ability to devise and implement practical solutions to resolve complex issues through improved process, resource management, or new technology.
- Excellent cross-functional team skills to accomplish cross-functional initiatives / goals with leaders from manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, product compliance, and warehouse.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with internal deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Fluency in English. Bilingual in technical Spanish is a strong differentiator.
- Must be able to work in person onsite.

The pay range for this role is $19.50 – $31.25 per hour. Compensation is commensurate with level of knowledge, education, skills, and experience applicable to the position.
